About the German Bundestag Internship Program
The German Bundestag Internship Program International Parliamentary Scholarships (IPS) collaborates with the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin and Technische Universität Berlin to provide the opportunity for graduates to learn first-hand about German politics over the course of 5 months, with 3 of these spent working in the office of a member of the German Parliament (Deutscher Bundestag) in Berlin.
Each year around 120 scholarships are awarded to young university graduates from 50 countries. The program runs each year from 1 March to 31 July.
Amount Awarded
The scholarship includes a monthly payment of 700 euros, free accommodation, and health, accident and liability insurance. It also covers the cost of travel to and from Berlin. The International Parliamentary Scholarship programme is funded by the German Bundestag.
Application Process
The German Bundestag Internship Program International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) does not have a campus process. The national deadline is typically at the end of July. We encourage you to begin your application early.
