About the Rotary Foundation Awards
Rotary’s educational programs promote international understanding by bringing together people from different countries and cultures. Scholarships enable promising students to become leaders and experts in fields focused on sustainable change.
District Grants accommodate a variety of scholarship plans. They can be used to sponsor undergraduate or graduate students studying any subject. They can be used for domestic or international study and can cover any length of time.
Global Grants can fund scholarships for graduate students planning careers in fields that support Rotary’s efforts to promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, save mothers and children, support education and grow local economies. Students study abroad in degree programs ranging from one to four years.

Application Process
The Rotary Foundation Awards do not have a campus process. The national deadline varies by Rotary Club. We encourage you to begin your application early.
Stanford students could apply through a local Bay Area Rotary Club that nominates applicants to the Rotary District. There are a few clubs including Los Altos, Cupertino and Palo Alto that make up the District 5170. Menlo Park is actually in a separate district but that could be a possibility. Or you could even explore the local Rotary Club close to your hometown.
Campus Application Deadline
No campus process.
National Application Deadline
Deadline Varies by Rotary Club District. March 1st for many Bay Area clubs.
