About the IAESTE Internship Program
The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) is an internship exchange organization that matches science, technology, engineering and mathematics students in over 80 participating countries with paid work experience abroad, most often in the form of scientific research or industrial internships. Most placements are for 8-12 weeks during the summer, but fall and longer-term placements are also available.
Amount Awarded
IAESTE interns receive a salary that covers at least the cost of living in their host city (housing, transportation, and meals). IAESTE provides assistance with the work authorization and visa process. Local Committees, volunteer groups of local university students in each host city, typically arrange the housing accommodations, coordinate your arrival and reception, and organize social gatherings that provide you with a chance to meet other international trainees and local students.
Application Process
The IAESTE Internship Program does not have a campus process. The national deadline is typically in early December. We encourage you to begin your application early.
